| Track running through Vänersborg and Trollhättan (Sweden) is upgraded with RockDelta vibration isolation RockDelta a/s has supplied a solution to rock-borne vibration problems at the Trollhättan tunnel. The tunnel is part of the upgraded section between Gothenburg and Norway. RockBallast® 3515 has been installed in the tunnel at two locations. The solution was chosen after studies and investigations of insertion loss and cost effective installation. Öxnered – Trollhättan - This is the first section of the upgrade of Vänernbanan (the Swedish west coast line to Norway). The new double track goes through Vänersborg and Trollhättan munici-palities and has a total length of 7 km of which 3.5 km is in a tunnel. Special precautions of vibration isolation have been made in the tunnel under a residential area in the southern part and under the local hospital NÄL (Norra Älvsborgs Läns-sjukhus in the northern section). |
